中國醫學源遠流長, 但面對西方醫學入侵, 中醫漸覺失色, 原因是普通人皆揚棄前者而選擇後者, 以西方的科學思維來抨擊中醫, 抹殺其存在價值.

其實, 中醫學理有其哲學性及其全面性, 此乃中國的關聯感應式思維. 中醫與西醫不同之處在於醫人而非醫病, 有謂「治病為下、治身次之、治心為上﹔治心者精神之謂也」, 除了講求治病外, 更重要的是令病人固本培元, 身心健康. 中醫主要醫理建基佈滿全身的經絡, 其生理功能包括「溝通內外、聯繫肢體」,「運行氣血、營養全身」以及「抗禦外邪、保衛機體」.

「正氣內存，邪不可干」, 其中的病邪入體即是生病的意思, 這主要分「外邪」和「內邪」兩種, 前者是由外而內, 由表及裡, 病邪由皮毛入, 內連五藏, 散予腸胃. 後者則是內在原因, 包括內傷, 個人飲食和精神情緒. 另外, 食療在中醫學上是十分重要的, 醫師選取的每一藥材和份量, 也是經過不同思考過程, 因為不同種類和份量也對病者有不同影響. 而在日常飲食方面, 中醫也解釋了五味的效果, 即酸入肝, 苦入心, 辛入肺, 甘入脾, 咸入賢, 而吃清淡食物便可以養胃.

古語有云: 「下醫治病，問而知之﹔中醫治病，切(把脈)而知之﹔上醫治病，望而知之」基本上有很多種病也會在身體外部表現出來, 名醫一望即知, 不過在現代人眼中, 這毫不科學, 他們只看到西方科技發達而忽略古代科學之卓越. 中國醫學樸實不華, 取之於民間, 用之於民間, 難度經過數千年的臨床實驗還不夠科學嗎?
