finished up another 15 pages this past weekend...and I am taking in some new film today. Cant wait. Also have this years vacation to do too.

What new items are you using?

I am doing alot of paper piecing for borders and titles. I am making a bunch up and then croppin photos, then doing the pages...how do you girls work?

Organization is the key dontcha think?

- I did four pages this week and on two of them I managed to get eighteen pictures to fit on them. That is a personal record for me. - I havent personally used tags, but I do have them. You can use them for a title. Put stickers on them. Hang them off of a present for bday, xmas, etc. It's just another extra that you can add to your page! (NT) -- Heather, 12:42:26 08/31/02 Sat

I did five pages this weekend and prepared pix for about 9 more. Got them all cropped, pick out stickers, and colors for the paper...but ran out of adhesive to use...so I had to quit. Bummer! So what are all of you doing?

I included a poem titled United We Stand on a page in my sons book and a letter written to him from me about the events that day. I told him how everything closed, about the way I got him home from school early just to know he was safe and hug him. About the flags on the cars, stores, tshirts. About how people of all religions were joining together to have service for the victims and their families. etc....has anyone done anything in their books?

- I havent done anything in my book about 9-11 but I want to do something. If I dont do it from 9-11-2001. Im going to do something for this 9-11. I was going to take pictures of all the different patriotic symbols in my town. For example, the local rec center, painted their building like a flag. Downtown there are flag banners down the street. A Michaels store opened near me last weekend and it is GREAT for scrapping stuff. unlike our other Michaels--it has the entire new line of Making Memories stuff including the cool tags, eyelets and tools kits, fibers etc. I was in heaven. I picked up some cool new eyelet phrases (they say dream, believe etc.) I cant wait to use them! I used my first Eyelet charms this weekend and was tickled re: how CUTE they came out! I used my 50% coupon on a crop in style paper organizer. I cant wait to put it to use! a friend of mine bought 2--one just to sort templates which I think is an awesome idea! What did YOU use YOUR 50% coupon on????

- The coupon is good for anything that is not on clearance or on sale. They were tricky this week, my sizzix diecuts were on sale under templates and diecuts, but I got the 50% off anyway because of technicalities.     - Cindy, you have to be careful about using metal on your pages, all metal has the potential to rust or corrode in time. Although I like the look of eyelets and brads if used properly and creatively. (NT) -- Lauren in NY, 06:56:02 09/07/02 Sat

My Current Magazine came today and they had some new scrapbooking things -- cindy, 21:04:54 09/05/02 Thu [2]
Did anyone else see it? They have a neat little box that contains precut circles and squares of about 20 colors. Very nice set up. I realize you would use them up eventually but I really like the idea they are all in their own little compartments.

Also they had an eyelet system with 600? eyelets and the little tool to put them on the pages.

Let me know what you think of these two items, and if you have gotten either one was it nice?

- Check your local scrapbook store for pricing first. I know mine has the precut circle/square box, and they have almost all of the eylets and tools. If they are similar in price think of not paying shipping costs at your store. (NT) -- Lauren in NY, 06:58:58 09/07/02 Sat

I had taken pix of my son and nephew playing in the pool. I asked them to put the black tubes they were playing with around their heads..sort of vertical. Then took their pix. When I first got them done I wasnt thrilled. But then it hit me!! They looked like large black O's with the kids in the middle. So I cut them out and made a black p and a black L and used the kids in their tubes as my O's....so now at the top of the page the word POOL is so awesome. I filled in with a snapshot of my niece swimming at the bottom and hung flippers, a snorkel, and a mask on the POOL word. Then added little fishies swimming all around.....I wish I could post a pix.....I love it.

I have used everysize imaginable, even ones that are so odd you need to cut each and every background to fit the page.
Lately though I have found 12x12 gives me the most room and is the easiest to journal and add diecuts too.

Although I have to tell you, I have a case of three ring binders (black) with the little sleeve in the front where you can add a title page, in my attic. I may start using those and going with 8x11 pages, and page protectors just because it is more cost affective....free....does it all the time. Plus the smaller background papers are usually on sale at Michaels for 10c compared to 25to50cents each.

What do you girls think? What do you like best?

I am going to a party tomorrow and thought I would try the little 7 inch book has anyone used it? Let me know if you have what you thought, dont want to waste my money.

I have a question for everyone, Has anyone seen the new colored micro eyelets (1/16). I noticed them at my local store, but they were in a collection of a ton of different eyelets. They didn't have them out for sale yet. I went home to look for them on the internet and only found gold and silver and not the colored ones. I will not put any metal that is not covered in my scrapbook and wanted to learn about and try the micro colored ones. (I already have ideas brewing in my heasd for uses of them. If anybody can help, I would appreciate it. Thanks!

Spent a minor fortune considering I am unemployed at the moment. I bought the corner cropper, the tape runner, lots and lots of stickers, a 5x7 album, page protectors, and a scrap in a snap kit. What a great time I had. I did two pages of pix from my Washington DC trip. They were real quick and real nice. I need that right now as I am so far behind in my books.

And guess what I booked a party. So your all invited....lol!!! Wish you could come to Mentor for this wouldnt that be fun.

Well anyway I am on a scrapbook high. So I am off to crop.....catch ya

What type of layout would you rather use on the board. The condensed where you have to click on the main message to read it or the one that is up right now where you can read the message without clicking onto it to read it?   - I started using 3 ring binders for my scrapbook. I also have both the strap hinge and the post bound. I like w/the 3 ring binders, that you can take out or put in a page quickly.
