Subject: Riddik is an awsome dog

I am a new rottie owner, my rott is 7.5 months old and is huge, he is a pure breed german rott, he has lots of energy and his training is coming along very slowly. I am having problems getting him to quit biting, he loves to bite in the butt, also he won't quit jumping, is there any owners out there who can offer any advice? I can't afford to take him to obiedence classes right now, so I am trying to train him on my own. He is crate trained, and goes potty outside for the most part, he still won't ask to go out, but if I say "potty outside" then he knows and runs straight for the door, and does his business outside. I bought Dr. Rotties online traning guide, and for the most part it has worked well, but Riddik is becoming more and more protective of his food and crate. We have a total of 4 different breeds of dogs, and 1 cat, which he loves them all very well. I bought Riddik as a new born puppy, he was 8 weeks old when I got him, so he has grown up with the other animals very well, he is very playful. I just need some advice from other owners. This is my first Rott, and I love him. Thanks :)
