The Lost Ones
This is the board of the Lost Ones, those characters who's players, for one reason or another, can no longer keep them. If you wish to adopt one of these characters, merely post the name of those you wish to aquire, and, if they have one, their dragon's name and color. Bronzes and golds will also require a writing sample, showing your knowledge of Pern and your general roleplaying skills. Please wait to play the character until the adoption has been approved by Raja.

Whoo, I've definitely (I hate that word AND the enter button for both being evil) been long too gone... mrph... I HATH RETURNED! -- And I'm taking these people with me... N'gar and Vasilth/ Thayet and Pardeth (with co-stars Desaline and Eyrieth/ S'von and Connarth), 14:21:28 11/03/02 Sun
The sounds of laughter rang across the sky as four sets of riders raced each other daringly through the air. Leaning into her mounts lengthy forest body, Desaline daringly pulled herself out of the riding straps and straddled green Eyrieth's powerful neck. Lifting her arms back away from their supporting pose she flings her body backwards and shouts with glee. Rich bugling laughter echoes from the emerald dragon beneath her, reaching the minds of the other pairs around them. S'von shook his head at Desaline, his mind drifting back to the unpleasant fact that Raja would have their heads as soon as they landed. Of course, this was somewhat disturbed by a sudden bugle and dive from Connarth, as the massive bronze flared his pinions back against his body and spiraled daringly to the earth below. S'von shouted his dissproval through the rushing wind, recieving only laughter in response. A rush of chartreuse caught his eye and he whirled to see the familiar forms of Thayet and Pardeth diving in a straight line past them. S'von grinned at thus and joined the laughter of the others, forgetting his worries momentarily and urging his larger bronze into the chase. N'gar watched this patiently from above, an emotionless gaze eyeing the happy trio as he thought only of the horrors of the past. He raised one arm to his eye, examining the long and brutal scars that now ran from hand to elbow, Vasilth was equally silent beneath him, and in a single gesture of kindness N'gar offered a consoling pat on the bronze's neck, both hand and hide rough with slowly healed injury. N'gar turned to his left, sensing the prescence of another, and met the chocolate gaze of Desaline.
She grinned at him quietly, "There are no more felines where we're going N'gar. Severely angry Weyrwomen maybe, but no felines."
N'gar offered her a silent grin in thanks.
Desaline tilted her head to one side, "Race ya?"
N'gar shook his head, "Another time."
Desaline rolled her eyes, "You're just scared you're going to lose you wher-chick."
N'gar blinked, "Is that so?"
Desaline grinned, "Yep."
Vasilth's eyes swirled from their now usual shade of yellow to a slightly pale shade of blue. Eyrieth tossed her head in bemusement at thus, and bugled to the others to stop their sudden descent.
Desaline grinned, "Eyrieth just invited the others to join us, perhaps you'll race now O Wher-chick?"
N'gar nodded as Thayet's Pardeth and S'von's Connarth wheeled in to an even level.
Connarth's deep bass voice echoed in the minds of all dragons as S'von shouted to his friends,"Last one to Southern is wherry-bait!"
And so the race began.

Hmmm... methinks I will adopt a nice little charry. Hows abouts... R'du and Abeth? Yes, methinks. Aighty then, all I need is a writing sample:
It was an overcast, cheerless night that harkened the arrival of a certain group of mysterious visitors. A skeletal ship gliding eerily through the mist, its single light a ghostly beacon sending a shiver through the old man keeping watch on the dock, bore them quietly upon the sleeping Bremond. Seeming to drop anchor noiselessly, with deft movements two wraithlike men lowered a rowboat and set off towards the shore with deliberate strokes that echoed with grim harshness upon the deathly silence of the night and the bay.

well thats the first thing i thought of anyway. not wonderful, and you've already read it, but hopefully its good enough
