This message was on another WV Pageants message board and since this woman has been going all over the state passing herself off as a "professional" everyone needs to watch out for her!

BEWARE!!! Stephaine Poe (Runway Modeling, Phillipe) owes me money since August 2001 in the amount of over $200.00. She was renting a western wear outfit from me made by Judy Burton, in SC and she told me if I was interested in selling to let her know. I told her I would sell it for $200.00 which is a steal for Judy Burtons pageant clothing. Then I did a pageant composite for one of the girls she was helping for Sunburst Nationals and got this young lady a hair and makeup appointment there with Troy and Micheal. I overnighted the composite to this young lady's mother (would has nothing to do with this message)and Stephaine was aware that it cost me $18.00 to do so. I told Stephaine that she owed me nothing for my time just for the western outfit and overnight fedex charges. I have received $30.00. I resently helped a little girl in the Miss Randoff County 2002/03 pageant and I did get some pleasure in suprising Stephaine (she was the director) after the pageant. I did not want her to see me during the pageant in fear that she might assosicate me with this little girl I was coaching. The look on her face when I approached her after the pageant was priceless. She asked me what I was doing there and I told her that I coached her New Grand Supreme, Grand Supreme Christmas Wear Winner, most beauitful hair winner, made/designed her costume, did her hair/makeup. She told me that she would call me and I gave her my phone # and address in VA. That has been over a month ago and no call. She has an excuse for everything and will not pay you back. I have learned my lesson with this woman and have many contact in the pageant world that are aware of this name Stephaine Poe. Please be careful!

She originally was part-owner in a store in Philippi and the name was Runway Productions. While doing business under this name she talked several people into giving her their competition attire promising them that she would sell it as a consignment and split the money. Guess what??? She sold the stuff and they never got their money. Also since they did not have her sign any paper saying that she was taking the garments on consignment, well they had no proof.

Next she was caught by the WV State Tax Department doing business WITHOUT a business license. Reputable isn't she.

Further if anyone wants any proof as to the type of person she is just contact the Barbour County Sheriff's Department and ask any of the deputies. They all know her and her family!

Last but not least I was about to get "conned" by her but someone else in Barbour County told me to go to Upshur County Courthouse and look up her name under Civil Actions.

I did and found out that she has been sued and she lost for owning money to a gown shop in Buckhannon.

Last week I heard that she is being investigated by some state group because she has been doing hair & make-up at pageants without a state license for that too.

MY ADVICE TO EVERYONE WOULD BE STAY AWAY FROM THIS PERSON!

Please heed this advice!
