Subject: what are pageants really about?

could someone please tell me what a pageant is about? is it about the children, the friendship you make at these things, the fairness, the enjoyment at one ? i don't see how you all can claim that this is for the children, when you are always downing the other child that wins when your child or grandchild loses? and the friendships you make when you talk about what they are wearing at the pageant, how much or how less they spent on a dress. also how can it be the fairness when as soon as the awards are handed out you claim that the director changed the scores or already knew who was going to win before the pageant started. and how about the enjoyment do i need to say more maybe, some of these children are not even allowed to play with another child because they are in the same age division. please. give the answers to some of these questions if you can. and how about being nice when you answer remember you will represent the pageant community that you all hold in such great regard when you answer thank you someone who need answers.
