Hey, no problem.

And if you can't find it in your library, and if you have a Barnes & Noble anywhere nearby, it can almost always be found there. It's paperback, and pretty reasonable price, I think around $10 or so. Though if your university library has a book loan policy (requesting books from other libraries when they don't have it), you might be able to get it that way, too, and no need to spend money at all if you can find it otherwise!

But anyhew, you're quite welcome. The 14th Century is probably my single favourite of all that can be considered 'The Middle Ages', even though it's really at the tail end of it all. There are a lot of books out there on the Black Death, but I find too many of them tend to focus too much on the medical aspects of the plague, and not enough on its historical significance. One other I can wholeheartedly recommend, though:

'The Black Death: Natural and Human Disaster in Medieval Europe' by Robert S. Gottfried. ISBN: 0029123704

Exactly the sort of book I mentioned, focusing primarily on the historical significance of the plague. He includes a great deal of first-hand accounts, which are particularly fascinating because they give actual, contemporary reactions and depictions of the Black Death.

You can also find this one at Barnes & Noble as well, if it can't be found through library (or otherwise free) methods.

Here's hoping some of this info helps!

-Matt
