The first much anticipated press conference of the Edmonton Eagles was quite a show.

During the press conference, Gm Provencher had to repond to a lot of hotly debated questions about the teams direction. Mr. Provencher confirm that the rebuilding of team is over after this season. " We are really happy with the prospects we managed to draft or to acquire, however not it's time to move forward". " With close to 35 mil of salary cap available next year, a lot of different scenario are possible" We will go after superstar in the league and our prospects will come along just fine making our team more competitive. " I guaranteed that we will make the playoffs next year or season pass holders will come for free next season.

This season is not a writeoff.Keep in mind that our conference is stronger that the East. If the Eagles where in the East we will make the playoffs. Our team is much better than last year. Our defense is better, our speed is better. We will surprise a lot of team this year!!! Trading is not over either. We have a surplus of d-men in our system now with the recent acquisition of Boucher, Zuyzin,Dykhuis,and prospect Brian Campbell. With the Cheapest salary structure of the league, we get the most for our BUCK!!! WE WILL BUILD IT AND YOU WILL COME
