Down the road, not too far before the barn, is a large, elegant house. With an interesting architectural style, it seemed tof it comfortably on the slope of the hill. The evergreens the surrounded it added a nice contrast to the buildings rich redwood siding. A particularly enormous pine stands guard in the front yard, casting dappled shadows on the lush lawn. Walking up the decoratively paved walkway you find the door swung open welcomely. Stepping inside reveals an extremely spacious home. Soft music playing in background and the light aroma of candles teases your senses. Polished maple wood floors the entry and the dining area as well as the halls and finally gives way to a evergreen toned rug in the living areas. The place is decorated rusticly, with very western accents. The kitchen and bathrooms sport tiled flooring. Large leather couches and several comfy recliners are placed strategically in the living room, able to easily view both the flat screen TV and catch a glimpse out the enormous windows that take up an entire wall, show casing the beautiful scenery beyond the house. The living room ceilings are vaulted high above your head, making the space seem open and without confines. Two magnificent whitetail bucks crown the entry, though even these two monsters seem small next to the noble 6 by 7 bull elk on the opposite wall. The master bedroom is on the lower floor as well. Beyond the large sleeping area is a bathroom with a deep set tub with jets. The walk in closet is spacious as well, though not especially well filled. You allow your hand to glide easily along the high gloss finish of the intricately caved handrail as you climb the staircase to glance casually at the rooms on the top floor. There are two extra bedrooms, both with their own bathroom. Pausing in the large family room upstairs, you glance out the window to find a breath-taking view of the entire area. Ancient trees sway gently in the breeze and farther down the canyon the creek is just visible. Glancing to the side, you can just catch a glimpse of the green expanse which is the pastures. You step out the sliding doors and onto the deck out back. Walking down the redwood steps you find yourself on a slate paved patio. Near the stairs is a table and several chairs as well as a barbecue. At the end of the expanse is an oversized hot tub, it's cover in place. How wonderful would that be on a cold night, lying peacefully in the hot water and gazing up at the star filled sky through the boughs of the mighty evergreens? Following the paved walkway, you return to the front. What a magnificent place.
