Hi there, I'm Dave from Sunny South Africa. I was just interested when i was browsing your website, if you are having any trials antime soon? I know you probably get youngsters asking everyday whether or not they could have a trial at the club, but i am desperate to get a trial, i have been training by myself for the last 3 years since i left school, been training throwing, goal kicks, drop kicks and with a couple of mates who are pretty good, so i practice shot stopping, one-on-one's, closing down attackers, cutting off angles, agility, reflexes, handling etc. to give you a brief background, i have played a few games for some non-league clubs, but have had trials with manning rangers (RSA) durban stars (RSA) and zulu royals (RSA), but becasue the clubs are all in the south african first division they have very little or no funds, althought they were impressed, they unfortunately couldn't sign me! I also for the last 3 years have been saving up and finally earned enough to get a return ticket to england where i last year 2005,went to a training camp called (PROKEEPER) which is down in alsager, where i was coached by malcolm webster (recently appointed southampton goalkeeper coach) and fred barber (bolton wanderers goal keeper coach) and trained with jussi jasskalainen (bolton), richard wright (everton), lee camp (derby county) craig gordon (hearts). when i returned i also sent in a video to (ISA) the International Scouting Agency. i was assessed by Chris Nicholl, who said i have Very good potential and said i should be playing club football. the only downfall is not enough people in my area of south africa have teams the closest one's are far away and the interest is not nearly as big as in england, as cricket and rugby are the two main sports! Whatever your decision is, i just want to thank you for the time you have taken out of your busy schedule to read this, i really appreciate it, and would love to get a trial with a club if possible, much appreciated thanks cheers dave.
