PDFE don't use Acrobat to change info fields so the procedure used to edit/update the info fields is the same independently of the Acrobat version you have.

This can only occur if you are using the quick edit mode. In this case the lose of performance is subjacent to the time Acrobat need to read the document if you click the diskette icon to do the update. If you only want to update and pass to the next document you can increase the performance if you just change to the next document. Update is in this case also done and the program don't need to close and open again (because of share violation imposed by Acrobat) the same document.

If you want speed use the Foxit Reader as the default windows shell pdf viewer and configure PDFE to use the viewer assigned to IE (Edit>Preferences>Internal Reader)

Acrobat reader is good but only if you have a fast computer. Use it only to print and view complex documents :-)
