Check first if you are using the last version, V1.5 build 41. The grid save function also saves the view state so before you save the grid rearrange the view. Next time you open it the view is going to be the same. Same layout, same document selected and same view mode (text or all). For some internal view options (Edit>Preferences>Internal Reader) the document page opened at time of grid save operation is also preserved.
