Are you sure that that problem is ver1.5.0.51 specific? That problem is intrinsic to all PDFE version because the problem is from Acrobat itself.
Sorry but I really do not know how to respond to that bad Acrobat behaviour.
What I recommend is that you start to use, as pdf reader, the fantastic, and freeware, Foxit Reader from FoxitSoftware. This reader in only one file and open and scroll pdf pages at warp speed. After first use you are going to use Acrobat only to print pdf documents.
Try it and you will see that the two, PDFE and FoxitReader, work really good.
To use it with PDF Explorer make it the default shell pdf reader, he do that the first time you run it, and in PDFE configure the Internal Reader (Edit>Preferences-InternalReader) to the Internet Explorer Default option.
You can download the stable version of Foxit Reader from Foxit Reader product page or, the best option, the beta versions from the program support forums.
Please take note that I have nothing to do with Foxit Sofware. I just love to use Foxit Reader with PDF Explorer.
