Subject: Xtreme World, new plan.

It's too bad this discussion has turned out the way it has.
I had a conversation with Bobby last night and (for now) this is how it should shake out.

The karts will run on the same nights as the Quads and Flat Track Motorcycles on the flat track with the Moto X bikes running on the Moto track. 7 buck gate fee, watch or race. BTW, the flat track bikes are the real deal, it's been a long time since I heard a BSA thumper or saw two bikes sliding through a corner with the outside guy reaching out and tapping the inside guy's elbow to let him know he's out there.
This will eliminate the pitiful sight of only a handful of karts showing up and being all by themselves. If no one else shows up, Bobby and Jeff (or whoever's there) can put on an exibition. Shoot, I may throw a junk engine on my old Team Ultramax Blaze and make a few laps myself once and awhile.
Mitch, the facility owner, likes the karts and seems to be ok with it. At this point I believe it's best to make karts PART of the show instead of trying to make them the whole show.
I want karts to have a permanant home in Tulsa, OK, and I want the medium to be there whenever folks want to use it, if they don't-- well, that's fine. The show won't be dependant on anyone or any group. If the karts get big enough to stand on there own, that's fine also. The facility and dates are there to support it.

Last night I tried to explain to Bobby that the reason folks weren't showing up at the track was because they didn't want to, plain and simple. If they wanted to be there, they would be there, and seldom will they ever give you the real reason for their actions.
As far as the SS deal and the alternating dates, Bobby got that impression somewhere because that's what he's been telling me from the start- although I think I remember chuckling and telling him that it will probably only last as long as it's convenient.
Truthfully, I have no personal knowledge of any deal and won't comment except to say that's the impression he had, and that's the reason for his disappointment.
