the only blend you can use with tig is an argon helium blend. THe reson you can't use a co2 blend with tig is co2 is active and for tig you can only use inert gas so the tungsten won't become contaminated.....THe process mig also stands for metal inert gas, so when you change the gas to argon co2 you also change the process to metal active gas.........hope that helps mail me if you have anymore questions....
