Which kind of joining process should I choice to join two very thin and long steel bar end to end and gives the joint very good mechanical properties? The length to width ratio of the bars are 35:1, and one steel bar is made of high carbon steel, the other is made of low carbon steel, The cross section of the bars are square. Is resistance welding appropriate for this? Can anyone give me some suggestions? thanks in advance!
