I do not think you would reach good result welding uphill...

I recommend following:
- use 1.0 mm diameter,
- use 3.5-4 m/min, 16.5 V,
- use 82%Ar+18%CO2 mixture,
- go DOWNHILL!
- do small weaving if necessary

You will not achieve good penetration but you will make good support for filling passes with Flux cored wire in the class E71T-1, 1.2 mm diameter. Use 8 m/min, 25 V, go UPHILL!
I am sure you will pass any test!
