I truely appreciate your responses, I do. But, I guess I need to be more clear with my initial question. 1st - I said that a pro wired the initial line therefore nothing is "jury rig" here. I know that I need to get a pro to do the upgrade but I do not want to pay $50+ just for them to show up and then say it is not possible. 2nd - I have a 2003 catalog of all Miller's products and the spec I specified in my inital msg of "82A w/PFC" is straight from their spec sheet. I will ask Miller their thoughts but I was hoping that someone out there has run into this problem before. Unfortunetly, the 250 DX is more for small and large shops that already have the proper wiring in place and not homes. And the folks in this forum either have the shop capability or don't need this size machine at home. So, again, thanks for your responses. Obviously, I need to do more research.
