lets try to clear this up, if u have 3 phase power all u have to do is not hook up one power lead, just tape it up, hook 2 power wires up to input voltage connections inside welder, and the earth ground to case of machine,no matter what voltage u have(230 or460), this is a single phase hookup(not 2 phase), now if u only have single phase power u have to have a phase converter, u cant just hook up 2 hot wires and earth ground to welder if it is a 3 phase welder especially if it is a motor generator type welder, if it is a transformer welder, it will run but not very well, if it as inverter welder it will run on single phase or 3 phase, good luck and im not responsible for any damages that may be caused, if not sure check with local weld repair shop or electrician, dont get shocked its not worth it, be careful!!!!
