 those 2 are not supposed to be like that. LOL. most welders come out of the box ready to go with flux-core, with MIG as an option, whoever sold him that welder probably added the MIG package, and forgot to change the wire out. it wont weld right because there is the combustible material inside the wire, as well as the gas, and it will make for a very explosive arc. im suprised it welds at all. tell him the salesman told him a crock of S$!&
