Subject: stick welding sheet metal

since i am teaching mself to weld with a miller thunderbolt 230 ac/dc
unit that goes down to 30 amps
and am currently building a custom car

i figure the best way to teach myself welding is to sart out the hard way by doing th welding to the body work sheet metal with a stick welder

i can do thicker stuf no problem
i seem to be able to sorta do sheet metal not too bad

but was looking for any tips of sugestions
such as the type of stick to use
the amperage

basically anyhing that might help me burn less holes in the sheet metal
