I did get the fan to operate it only runs when the machine calls for it. That is great because you do not have to listen to the fan all the time and it keeps the inside of the machine cleaner. I love the machine. It welds great. I weld for a living and have used a lot of machines. For the money this one by far is the best that I have used yet. I love the tig welding characteristics of the machine. It has a high frequency start which is great for stainless and carbon steel. It has gas pre flow and post flow.
