Mig welding is your best way to go less heat input ,less distortion. It also produces a stronger weld, compared to gas welding or brazing. On newer unibody cars it is the only choice due to strengh factors. When brazing on rusty, dirty metal the beginer will no doubt end up using way to much heat and weaken the brazed joint and surrounding area. Wear a leather glove and"wipe" the heat away after welding or brazing.Use a spray bottle of water to mist not drown the weld area.A word to the wise ,have a bucket of water and wet rags on hand in case of fire.
