Hi All,

I am a novice welder with a general question. Iam trying to weld up some frames/sculpture out of 1/8" to 1/2" steel rod. I am trying to determine the best way to do this. My question is do you think a spot welder could be used to join these bars. I have a lot of welds to do and am loooking for the fastest and easiest way possible. It would be cool to just lay the bars across each other place something on either side, hit a switch and have them joined. Kind of like the welds on a barbecue grate.

Thanks for your help

John
