Subject: Tie Breakers

All right... it's down to the wire and we will probably have some teams tied for the final playoff spots, so we better post the tie breakers now so everyone knows going into the final weeks. Cyber, if these should be different, let me know, but I am going from what I remember from last year.

In the event that two teams are tied for one playoff spot, head-to-head competition decides who gets it. If the teams split during the regular season, then the team with the highest overall point total claims the spot.

If three or more teams are tied for one spot, then the head-to-head is thrown out and total points immediately becomes the determining factor.

If two teams have the same number of total points and split in head-to-head competiton, then their record against other playoff teams is the determining factor. Example: D.J. and Hack are tied for the last spot, and they are tied in total points, so Hack's 3-3 record against Mock, Pecker, and Ted gives him the spot over D.J.'s 2-4 record against those teams.

Post any disagreements if you have them and we will try to figure them out before next week.
