Surely a marriage requires that ingrediant of trust? It looks to me like his wife totally lacked trust in him. She obviously couldn't trust him to have a friend of the opposite sex. In the end friends became deceptive but were driven to that by his wifes lack of trust or jealousy. The teller of this experience says her partner met up with her male friend with him, her partner trusted her. So was the jealous wife really jealous or was the whole marriage lacking trust? Possibly the obvious lack of trust materialised itself in jealousy. Surely eveyone should be able to make their own choice of friends.
