Subject: EATING DISORDER

I think it is important to cover eating disorders in class. A student may possess no knowledge or limited knowledge on the subject. Covering this topic can be insightful to a student if he or she is experiencing an eating disorder or if they know someone who has an eating disorder. Talking about it can lead to a better understanding and provide information on organizations who can give assistant towards recovery. No, I don't know anyone who has had a problem with an eating disorder. On the other hand, I have been struggling with weight management for over 20 years. I have use the bulimia method, it's possible that I did participate in this type of behavior at least two time a week for a three month period. I was trying to lose weight in a 12 week period. I don't think it was a case of serious bulimia but it was a desperate act. I'm trying to eat healthier and exercise more without energy enhancing supplements or diet fads. My struggle continues in regards to weight management but I am making better choices.
