VoyForums Announcement: Programming and providing support for this service has been a labor of love since 1997. We are one of the few services online who values our users' privacy, and have never sold your information. To answer your question, no, we have not been able to create a Canadian non-profit organization similar to Alpha Omega Epsilon National Foundation. We have mentioned in the past that the current Board of Directors would be willing to aid a group of Canadian alumnae to establish a foundation. There are different tax laws in Canada than in the U.S., and we wouldn't know where to begin. It took five very dedicated women to get this organization created in the United States. I'm sure it would take the same level of dedication and determination to create a Canadian branch.

If you are interested in creating one, I suggest talking to other Eta alum to get a group organized. Anyone is welcome to support the Foundation as a Director or volunteer to get a better understanding and history of the U.S. organization as a springboard into a Canadian branch.

The Eta Chapter can apply for grants and Rings of Excellence Scholarships sponsored by the Foundation. There are specific rules stated by some of our corporate donors that any funds received by their organization must stay within the United States. Any donations received by the public are combined to support the Foundation-sponsored programs.
