i think it is quite possible he didnt manage to say anything at the moment of his death...since subaru was all teary about u never say the word i wish to hear...
really!...come on!!!he was dying for god sake...and unable to say his last and most important sentence fits perfectly in CLAMP's typical tragedy plan..

i mean y would subaru say sei never say the word i love u if he really did say it in the end !!!!?
