Hello Ariane-san. I don't think I have chatted with you before, have I? Anyhow, nice to meet you!

Here's my thoughts: I can't really blame CLAMP for putting X on hold. Having to stick to drawing the same manga for so many years must have been _boring_. I mean, I get bored if I so much as stare at Chapter 1 of my Psychology textbook for 15 minutes - imagine how boring it must be to draw and develop the same manga for, what, 13(?) years!!

X is an excellent manga which we all love because of the interesting characters and mind-reeling/'philosophical' (or angst - look at 2001 Oct. Asuka installment! *sniff*) plot. A lot of time (years), skills, and brain-cells must have been involved and devoted to its creation. Now, imagine having to work 'full-time' on such a large-scale project!

CLAMP may be a group of professional mangaka, but they are only humans afterall. Having spent so much time and energy on creating the X epic must have been taxing and boring, so I can't blame them for wanting a break. And if they want to shift their resources to creating Tsubasa, then why not? The 'distraction' will probably help them relax a little, so that when their majesties finally feel like returning to X, they may do an even better job.

That is, provided that they _will_ get back to X... Other than boredom and lack of mental-energy, they really have no excuse to chuck X to the back-burner!!

It's just a thought. God bless.

lots of lollies and food for thought,
a very bored Apus000
(who is getting back to staring at Chapter 1 of her Psychology textbook *sigh*)

P.S. I have to confess, I can't give much opinion on Tsubasa or XXXholic, since I haven't seen head or hind of those new manga - and anyone who can provide me with a site that shows nice manga scans of it have my deepest thanks (hint hint!)^^;;
