I remember when I first heard it I thought it would be a perfect song for Tokyo Babylon. Recently I also saw in the CD shops that on one of his other albums there's a song entitled 'Red Moon' (for those who missed out on the hard-to-find TB image CDs, Red Moon is the name of a song on the 2nd one). And yes, not only the melancholy sound but also the lyrics suit TB quite a bit. Now, I'm sure that David Gray has never even heard of shoujo manga, still - freaky coincidence!!!!!!
