I was kind of hoping that Subaru referring to Kamui's "other wish", there being "something else" was the fact that Kamui really loved Subaru and not Fuuma and Fuuma should just go screw off while Kamui became Subaru's beautiful bride . . . but that's just my inner rabid Sumeragi fanboy speaking, I think. What you're implying probably makes more sense, though. ::: sigh ::: Damn you, CLAMP.
Oh, and yes . . . if Subaru dies . . . you may hear of a crazed American youth taking four female Japanese manga-ka hostage and demanding that they rewrite a part of their body of work. Oruha's death was bad enough. Subaru and Oruha BOTH being dead in their respective, canonical plotlines? NO. NEVER.
