Oooh...that is interesting. Did you read that in the official Vizified manga, or the Japanese tanks? Because that would totally alter the direction of the story. o_o
But...Fuuma didn't make a choice, so he couldn't really be the true "Kamui". That would mean that there never was a true "Kamui", because doesn't being "Kamui" imply that one has a choice?
I wonder if that was a slip in the translation or, gasp, a slip in CLAMP's scripting? I sort of feel that something like that undermines "X"...seeing has Kamui's choice was the basis for the story. And, so far, correct me if I'm wrong, there hasn't been any foreshadowing that Kamui's "choice" was never a choice. It would be a little weak for something like that to be brought up in the last two volumes of manga.
