Hey, I forgot Kenshin's X... But if you watch the OAV, it's purely coincidental. He happened to get hit in battle and got one scar, and later, the vengeful widow/love interest of the slain scarer added a matching scar, making the 'X.' Besides, it's not a 'bloody' X per se. It looks no different from Gene's scars in Outlaw Star.
I think Tsuzuki should have spurted a pentagram or a 666...
I'm not saying YnM is completely ripped off of TB/X, but...there are just too many coincidences for my tastes. It's just...creepy.
