After he killed Kotori he said he would kill Kamui next time... and after so many 'next times,' Kamui still lives... It's probably one of those empty promises, like Seishirou with Subaru. Actually I see their relationship somewhat mirrored in FxK.

Subaru was Seishirou's special person wasn't he? Even though on the surface he tried to kill him and the spell reflected it upon himself, didn't he do it on purpose to kill himself?
And just because Fuuma killed Kotori doesn't mean she's his special person. Look at Seishirou. He killed so many people and he didn't even consider them people.

Basically Fuuma's saying that lives are the most important things, right? So many possibilities with this one...

Actually it's a fact that Kamui lost sight of what was important--he's told that by Fuuma and/or Subaru and/or Karen. My personal opinion is that what is truly important to Kamui is Fuuma, and furthermore Fuuma's life. As the series progressed you can see Kamui gradually seem to forget things about Fuuma and hey, he's even tried to kill him.

Well they were only children when he said he would marry Kotori. Whenever Fuuma brought it up it only seemed like they were reminiscing and that Kamui didn't really mean it.

Fuuma and Kotori have been Kamui's only childhood friends. Subaru did have a big place in his life, but he could never replace Fuuma and Kotori. It's the same that Kamui could never replace Seishirou in Subaru's life as most important.

Actually the evidence that it was one-sided is all over the series. I wrote a bit about it in one of my posts in the 'S&K Scene Speculation' thread (it's getting off-topic sort of XD; ).
