great posts, all of those. but I've got a theory about this march asuka that i guess i'm the only one who thinks like this til now:
while reading the march asuka translation, i understood the following: kamui sees kanoe dying and the murderer's face is fuuma's. he asks fuuma if what he saw was the real moment, or if reality is that fuuma is standing right in front of him. fuuma then says that "usually people can't see beyond what they WANT to see". by saying that, he meant kamui saw him killing kanoe because he's got used to see fuuma killing people. OR he meant kamui is seeing him RIGHT NOW in front of him because he wants to see him.
then, subaru shows up. fuuma says that the fact subaru showed up("this is the answer to your wandering, kamui") explains what they were discussing before. in my opinion, fuuma is telling kamui that SUBARU showed up because kamui WISHED to see him. it was explained in the X TV last episode, remember? that DOESN'T MEAN subaru killed kanoe. clamp can be trying to tell us:
a) fuuma can be everywhere at the same time, making people's wishes reality.
b) kamui's wishes make him see things, as well as all the other charas, so some things probably didn't happen the way they were pictured in the manga.
c) fuuma was the one killing kanoe, and someone else is talking to kamui right now. or he is really standing in front of kamui and someone else(I doubt it was subaru) killed kanoe.
I believe options a and b are correct. of course it's just my theory, but i hope it helps. and plus: fuuma says, in the end of the installment, "then maybe your wish will come true, kamui". he probably means kamui will get to see fuuma, because he only sees what his eyes want to see('how can life be what you want it to be....^^; i luv this song!!)
