christopher brooke is having a busy year: he began 2006 as the winner of the BBC Streets of... Short Story Competition with his poem 'when substances collide'; has had work featured in (amongst others) the Welsh Special issue of Orbis Quarterly Literary International Journal, New York's Void Magazine, & the critically acclaimed anthology of Welsh Poets, The Lie of The Land (in aid of The Meningitis Trust); travelled the United States of America & most of Europe; read at the Hay Festival; captained the Welsh team in the Tri-Nation Poetry Slam, at Bristol Old Vic Theatre; on 13th October he will read at the Ilkley Literature Festival; &, on 24th October he will be launching the eagerly awaited & the concept of zero, which has already been requested for consideration by the Welsh Book of The Year panel, 2007.
