Hi Ian,

An advance "Welcome to Canada" to you!

Sunday can be a good day to visit, depending upon the weather.

As most visitors leave Port Perry (after visiting for a weekend) on a Sunday, stores tend to close early (around 4pm). On warm, sunny Sundays, the stores stay open much longer, sometimes till 8pm and later.

When hubby and me were visiting Port Perry looking for a house to buy, a few years back, we found the best days to visit Port Perry were:

For a quiet visit - Sunday evening through Thursday
For a busy visit - Friday through early Sunday pm

Have a GREAT visit!
Jeannie
