Subject: Soccer in Italia Author: Jon [ Next Thread | Previous Thread | Next Message | Previous Message ] Date Posted: 01:53:19 10/09/02 Wed Umm, nobody is replying to the threads so I'll start a new one (hoping that somebody will take it and actually START a conversation! *LOL* The subject will be soccer (or anything else). Whatever comes to your mind. Well, soccer (calcio in Italian) is very popular here. Kids play it out in the streets, in the park, and just about everywhere. It's like they are born with a soccer ball in their hands. They are very talented and have amazing control. I guess that it comes with the years of playing. Their technique of playing the game is very different from the American style. I think that they have a more organized and structured game. As for the fans, well... they are totally C R A Z Y!!! Fanatics at heart. Everywhere you go in this city, you can find banners hanging in the streets that ward off the people who should cheer for the other team. It can get pretty scary at times. Okay.
