Subject: belated intro/thought

I just realized that I my posted introduction last week did not go onto this group, so some other group knows an awful lot about me. I would just like to address the concept that was brought up that adolescence lasts through college into the first job an individual has. The students I teach are definitely in the throws of adolescence (9th and 12th graders), and although I still had some maturing to do through college, I still think would not have dubbed myself an adolescent. The amount of self-awareness I had, combined with my awareness of my role in social groups,was much greater than that of say, an 18 year old in the midst of adolescence. Just a thought.
