Subject: Punishment II

When I was teaching in Jerusalem, I observed that when students would misbehave in class, many teachers would take away their gym class or lunch period as a form of punishment.(Punishment II- taking away something good.) I didn't like this idea very much because while it may work with some students, I just noticed most of the students misbehave more in the following classes. PE class and lunch period give students the chance to get out their energy and focus better during class so I think we as teachers need to make sure that the punishments we are using give us the results we want.
