I agree, Brad. I think we have a tendency to forget sometimes that kids and teenagers are not adults; therefore, we need to explain why certain behaviors are wrong rather than just punishing kids for being "bad" and assuming they know why. I think the comic in Chapter Four with the teenager praying for "good abstract reasoning ability, interpersonal skills, and cultural perspective.." illustrates this point. Kids often know that they do not know and they are looking to their teachers and parents for guidance even though they will seldom ask for it.
