I would prefer for teachers to take a class or two upon entering the school system to help alleviate some of the biases that they may be unconsciously attributing to. In my science and mathematics classes there were always female students who were either top of the class or very close to it. I really believe the success of the students has a lot to do with the teacher’s style of teaching. If a teacher is swaying one way or the other this could have a negative affect on students whether they are male or female.
