I always thought CKDU was too serious, volunteers more artsy then having fun. there's hope yet I hear now. I've got a studio as it is, and more then a few LPFM/internet stations running our 1/2 hr of colorful music. It started out as a CHCN community station thing 3 odd years ago, but since I have my facilities, and they were better for what we wanted to do then CHCN's, I decided to produce it on my terms for a better product and a chance to syndicate it to even a small degree. we just put it up on the site and see what happens. so far, given very little promotion, we are doing well.

Of course the other factor is that I'm too lazy to file records and CDs for them and jump through hoops for a show. not my style. I prefer to keep everything in house. More so, when there's no much opportunity now to be heard. podcasting, LPFM's out of people's houses stateside, mp3 technology has made it practical and revolutionized high quality audio delivery.

We are having fun, totally off the cuff 80-90% of the time, over 100 shows in the can (between daffodil and ex co-host moondog who is off somewhere in a bunker in Roswell NM getting probed by aliens!) creating our own reality, and people are getting it...YAY!!!
