So... on the heels of great news from O&A, this on another old radio pal of ours. One of the sweetest, funniest, most generous guys I have ever met. It's an amazing thing to be paid to do what you love but it's shit like this that makes you wish you weren't always supposed to be outloud and funny. We're all thinking of you MS, and will NEVER FORGET FREDA!

Meanwhile, back at WJFK (and WESTWOOD ONE), as previously reported here at ALL ACCESS, DON GERONIMO made his return appearance on "THE DON AND MIKE SHOW" MONDAY afternoon (8/1). His voice trembling and hoarse, DON, appearing for the first time since the tragic death of his wife FREDA in an auto accident, played one of the couple's two songs (the BEACH BOYS' "Don't Worry Baby") and talked about their relationship and how he knew FREDA was "the one for me" the first time he saw her at a BOBBY POE convention. GERONIMO, telling the audience he was speaking not as the blustery DON GERONIMO radio character but as the real MIKE SORCE, said that the show is "not gonna change... tomorrow, I'll have my head on... my life has changed forever, it is a bell that cannot be unrung" but that when the show resumes TUESDAY, he would prefer that condolence calls be kept off the air and that everybody "move on." After taking calls from listeners and staying on for two hours, a tearful GERONIMO closed by telling his late wife "I love you so much" and playing the couple's other song, CARL CARLTON's "Everlasting Love."

We all talk a great game. But some things are FAR too real.
