Subject: Cheerleading is being treated unfairly all over the US ...read..we need your help!!

Hi everyone! My name is Ann Goncalves and im a cheerleader in Long Branch, NJ.I am writing this to get every cheerleader's help! Im sure everyone is well aware of whats been happening ALL OVER THE COUNTRY! Various cheerleading sqads in different states and of different levels are being prohibited to practice the two most essential parts of cheerleading.Tumbling and Stunting.Various school districts and states have banned them because of safety precautions.Well dont you think that since they bann tumbling and stunting they should bann tackling in football or bann the use of bats in baseball.I think so! Those activities have just as much of a chance of injury or even greater of a chance if that than tumbling and stunting!Basically these schools and states are not treating Cheerleading as it should be treated! AS A SPORT! These people are reducing many of our fellow cheerleading squads abilities to nothing. They are basically putting them back into the times when all cheerleading was RAH-RAH.
Basically what I am asking every cheerleader to do is spread the word that we wont let these people take away or make cheerleading less of what it is.Get involved in your community.Write articles in your newspapers and write letters to the people who are restricting these squads! Do whatever you can to get the point across that we as a cheerleading community will not sit and take this! Because before you know it people in your hometown and at your school will be enforcing the same restrictions that are being enforced in those states and schools. So stand and be heard !!!
If you have any questions or comments please email me at nanas6972@yahoo.com
Thank You,
Ann Goncalves
