Hi! I don't nessasarily think that cheerleaders are "air-heads." They may be really smart. I am a dance line member and it is totally different than cheerleading. The thing I don't get is WHY they try to compete with us. We are a lot more loose and show a lot more attitude. Just like cheerleaders...we can lift people in the air...so I know what hard work is. I USED to be on a cheerleading squad...and I can tell u all rite now that I like the dance team way better...u wouldn't believe how much louder the crowd is for us than the cheerleaders. I'm not saying that I don't like cheerleaders, cuz I am friends with them...just thought that I would give u something in the other perspecitve. Dance isn't easy...at all...we too have to memorize so many things...along with forms, tecniques, position, jumps (yes we do jumps), the dances, counts, the music beat, then no matter how much we are aching, we still have to show attitude. It isn't easy...so don't act like cheerleading is the hardest thing to do...because it isnt!
