Gee, it sure doesn't seem like 34 years...where did the time go? I went for my appointment at Women's College with Dr. Hewitt (an English obstetrician), not quite as distinguished as Dr. Hannah who delivered Dylan and was the son-in-law of Lester B. Pearson (married to his only daughter Patricia Lillian Pearson) but very sympatico. At the appointment I was told that I wasn't going to be leaving there without delivering...and I was sent home with the best baby ever. He never cried, unlike his older brother who did little else (sorry, Dylan, but you were "colicky" like your mother - according to my mother I did the same). We all thought it was normal until Yvan came along. (I don't know how many times I checked his bassinet to make sure he was still breathing.)

So let's have a round of "Happy Birthday" (not the tune I remember) followed by ""La Marseillaise" - it is, after all, Bastille Day as well.
