Time flies, but he's still missed...he's probably somewhere conversing with T.E. Lawrence,

Death seemed my servant on the road, till we were near

I remember him sharing that poem with me, discussing what it meant. He loved to read...and cook and refinish/restore things and travel, amongst other pursuits. I didn't care for the head cheese, but he wasn't afraid to try something new!

I have a book (The Home Letters of T.E. Lawrence and His Brothers) that John Taylor gave him back in 1954...inscribed as follows: "A small but sincere gift layed [sic] upon the altar of Leonard's Deity." He was an exceptional man, our father.

Miss you, Dad!
