I already wrote a brilliant post today...unfortunately I must have forgotten to click submit and now I see that my deathless prose has disappeared into the ether. And what with my advancing age and short-term memory loss, I honestly can't remember what I wrote.

Anyway, I think the gist of it was that it's a good time to review last year's resolutions and see how panned out. Some of us were more successful than others (you know who you are). I personally have to admit that I did in fact gain weight, rather than lose it (and my cholesterol is higher than ever). So without further ado, let me propose that we give the "Biggest Family Loser Competition" another try. If you're in, just post your current weight (or best estimate) on the Board by midnight tomorrow (Jan. 1). (And at Jon's request, please confine yourself to just posting your weight; we don't need any additional info.) This year there WILL be prizes. And congratulations to last year's winner - Peter Sidney! (Tim, you were a close second.) Sorry we weren't organized enough to have prizes last year.

Now I will attempt to post this. (I miss my last/lost post - it was much better than this one. I hope that it won't be a forecast of things to come as I miss 2010 already. I hope 2011 is much better.)
